'Passione'
is certainly the most breaking emotional representation
in the Neapolitan song.
It was written by the famous Libero Bovio and
it was sang by
hundreds and hundreds artists. It tells the story
of a man in love, who is forced to leave his beloved:
the moment when two lovers have to separate is
always the sadder one. The lyrics say: 'Te voglio...te
penzo...te chiammo...' in a very passionate wailing.
It's hard to be far from one's beloved and therefore
the main character of the song says: 'Aggio fatto
nu vuto 'a Madonna d' 'a Neve, si me passa 'sta
freve oro e pperle lle do...' (I have taken a
vow to the so called Vergin Maria of the Snow
(Madonna della Neve), if she puts out the fire
it burns inside of me, I will bring her some pearls).
